The Method/02
The Read.
Speech becomes signal: reasoning, conviction, clarity, and the blind spots.
Speech becomes signal. PredInt turns the conversation into a structured read of how a founder actually thinks.
Reasoning
How a hard problem gets taken apart, and in what order it gets solved.
Conviction
What they believe, and how loosely or tightly they hold it under pressure.
Candor
How clearly they talk about what is working, and what they do not yet know.
Reasoning, conviction, and candor.
Traced back to what was actually said.
A read of how they think, not a grade.
How a founder takes a problem apart
The read starts with structure. When a founder is handed something hard, do they reach for first principles, for analogy, for the customer, for the numbers? PredInt watches the order ideas arrive in and the moves a founder trusts when the answer isn't obvious.
That pattern is durable. It shows up again the next time the ground shifts, which is exactly why it is worth capturing once and carrying forward.
What they believe, and how tightly
Belief without flexibility is dogma; flexibility without belief is drift. The read separates the two — it marks where a founder holds firm because they have earned the conviction, and where they are holding on out of habit.
It also notices how a founder updates. Pushed on a weak point, do they defend, deflect, or genuinely reconsider? The way someone changes their mind is one of the most predictive things about them.
The blind spots, surfaced gently
The most useful part of the read is often what a founder does not yet know. PredInt listens for the gap between confidence and evidence — the places where the story is smooth but the proof is thin.
None of this is a verdict. It is a clearer picture, written in plain language, of where the conviction is grounded and where it still needs to be tested.
What you get
- Reasoning, conviction, and candor
- Every claim traced to the conversation
- Blind spots surfaced, not scored
- A living cognitive profile
Questions, answered.
- Is the read a score?
- No. There is no number and no ranking. It is a structured description of how a founder thinks, written so a human can act on it.
- Where does the read come from?
- Only from the conversation. Every observation is grounded in what was actually said on the call, not inferred from a résumé or a deck.
- Can it be wrong?
- It is a read, not a verdict. It is meant to make the next conversation sharper, and it gets more accurate as the profile compounds over time.
- Who sees it?
- The read belongs to the people running the process. It is built to inform a decision, not to replace the judgment behind it.
