The Method/01
The Call.
A twenty-minute voice interview. No forms, no slides. Just conversation.
A founder talks for twenty minutes. No forms to fill, no slides to build. PredInt runs the whole thing as a conversation, by voice.
Twenty minutes
Long enough to go deep, short enough to stay honest. One sitting, no homework.
By voice
Speaking is faster and more revealing than writing. The founder talks; PredInt listens.
Remote or in person
Run it over a call or in the room. The experience is the same either way.
One sitting. No prep, no homework.
Nothing to fill in before or after.
A conversation, not a questionnaire.
A conversation, not an interrogation
The call opens the way a good first meeting does — with room to think out loud. There is no fixed script to march through and no checklist of buzzwords to hit. PredInt asks, listens, and follows the thread the founder actually pulls on.
Each question is shaped by the last answer. When a founder lands on something that matters, the conversation slows down and goes deeper instead of moving on. When something is already clear, it moves forward. The result feels less like a form and more like talking to someone who was paying close attention.
Speaking reveals what writing hides
Written answers are edited answers. Founders polish them, hedge them, and round off the parts they are unsure about. Speaking in real time leaves the seams in — the order ideas arrive in, the places they pause, the points they lean into without being asked.
That texture is the signal. How a founder reasons under a little time pressure says more than any deck. The twenty minutes are designed to surface it without ever feeling like a test.
Over a call, or across the table
Run the interview remotely and it works like any other call. Run it in the room and it works just as well — the founder talks, PredInt listens, and the read is identical either way.
Nothing needs to be installed, scheduled around, or rehearsed. A founder can do it between meetings and an investor can send it ahead of one.
What you get
- A twenty-minute voice interview
- No forms, no slides
- Questions that adapt as you talk
- Run it remote or in the room
Questions, answered.
- Do I need to prepare anything?
- No. There is nothing to fill in beforehand and no slides to bring. Show up and talk — the call is built to work cold.
- What if I run out of things to say?
- You won't be left in silence. PredInt adapts to where you are and opens new threads, so the conversation keeps moving naturally.
- Can I redo the call?
- Yes. The profile is built to compound, so a second or third conversation only sharpens the read rather than replacing it.
- Is it really only twenty minutes?
- That is the target length. It is long enough to go deep on how you think and short enough that it never becomes a chore.
